Numerous racist attacks occurred at La Verne University. Some students blamed the university for allowing racism to fester. Now the police have charged Dominguez Peña with faking the whole thing, including falsely claiming she was assaulted by a masked man, sending offensive and threatening Instagram messages to minority students, and setting fire to her own car. She has been arrested on felony charges of making criminal threats and perjury, as well as seven misdemeanors related to electronic impersonation and filing false police reports.
