Improvements to site - 'Join' sends confimation email, 'Contact' works, 'show password', improved CSS, and old reports have been restored

The purpose of this site is to compile a comprehensive database of the false reports of "hate crimes" committed (mostly) in the USA. It builds on the work of Laird Wilcox, whose Crying Wolf (PDF) is the original book on this subject. The books Hate Crime Hoax and Hate Crimes: Criminal Law & Identity Politics are recommended.

Summary: Albert A Dawson, a 28 year old black man, was charged with 'ethnic intimidation' for setting fire to crosses on the front lawns of interracial couples. At the time, it had been believed that white racists had set the fires.
